September 15, 2026 — Digit Software, the ERP system manufacturers and distributors use to run inventory, production, purchasing, fulfillment and sales, is now Sutton, and its website moves to heysutton.com today. The new name arrives with the launch of Sutton Studio, which lets an operator type what they want and get a working tool built on their own live data, in minutes. The system understands their workflow and generates the tool to their exact specifications.
Customers have also used it for production floor dashboards and delivery boards matched to fulfillment source, each one built for exactly what they needed rather than adapted from a template.
"I type out my problem, summarize what I'd like to see, and everything is created for me. It's like an engineer building a custom app for you in a couple of minutes," said Andrew Pedersen of Pac Basic.
Sutton's core modules run sales, operations, purchasing and shipping in one system. Studio sits on top of them - it reads the workflow a business already runs and generates tools to that specification, on live production data rather than a copy of it.
Customers range from growing companies to established national brands. Ballast Point runs on Sutton, as does Great American Cookies, which manages inventory and procurement for its 400-plus franchise location footprint inside the platform. Across all of them, operators are replacing spreadsheets and one-off IT requests with tools they build themselves.
"For most operations, you could buy software that makes you change your workflows. Or you could pay someone to build something custom and wait months for it, only for it to change again," said Dan Koukol, co-founder and CEO of Sutton. "Instead, we built the layer an operator can create and edit themselves, using their business's data and workflows within Sutton."
Koukol ran Prodigy Disc, a plastic injection molding company, before founding Sutton. Studio is a direct answer to what he could not buy at the time - a system that bends to how a business actually runs, instead of the other way around.
The company's previous domain, digit-software.com, now redirects to heysutton.com. Existing customer logins are unaffected.
