Companies belonging to Grain Holding produce high quality bakery products. The holding was established in 1997 and today it comprises of 12 entities.

The companies operating within its structures specialize in the production and sale of bakery products, as well as preparation and storage of grain, flour and cereal. Today the holding produces approximately 250 tons of bread and more than 500 tons of flour per day, and is able to simultaneously store more than 230 thousand tons of grain. The company has a positive financial and operational performance. The holding successively completes large projects in Russia and CIS countries, creates plans of strategic development for its enterprises, as well as increases production efficiency and profitability. The holding enjoys recognition of its partners and customers thanks to modern equipment, use of high quality components, qualified personnel (2000 specialists) and client-oriented approach.

 
History
The holding was established in 1997 with the aim to buy and sell grain. The initial period of its activity was associated with an active consolidation of grain assets. The company initiated the process of financial recovery and creation of a new management system at the companies it had acquired. Over the past 10 years the holding incorporated the following companies: Separate Division Ryazanzernoproduct in February 1999, and in the end of this year - OJSC Izobilnykhleboproduct. In 2000, OJSC Ryazanzernoproduct was acquired and the following year gave the beginnings of the holding’s “Bread Division”. This period was marked by the large acquisitions on the bakery market. In 2001 the holding purchased OJSC Podolsky Khlebokombinat and in 2003, OJSC Ryzankhleb, creating the holding’s bread division. Finally, in 2005, two more companies joined the group, namely OJSC Expokhleb and OJSC Kasimovkhleb. In 2007 the group incorporated OJSC Russian Bread located in Kostroma and a complete re-equipment of all plants took place. Currently, the company embarked on major investment projects that will strengthen its competitive advantages and increase the proportion of presence of its products in the European part of Russia. Grain Holding is a permanent participant of international exhibitions such as “PRODEXPO”, “WORLD FOOD”, and “Modern Bakery.” In the nearest future the company plans to enter the international market of the supply of grain ad flour, increase sales and expand its products’ range.
 
The holding’s structure
Today Managing Company Grain Holding, the main company of the group, operates in three divisions. «Bread Division» includes OJSC Podolsky Khlebokombinat, OJSC Ryazankhleb, OJSC Russian Bread, OJSC Expokhleb and OJSC Kasimovkhleb. The Sales Division comprises of the following companies: TD Podolsky Khleb LLC, Pekar LLC and TD Russian Bread LLC, while Grain Division consists of the following entities: OJSC Ryazanzernoproduct, Separate Division Ryazanzernoproduct and OJSC Izobilnykhleboproduct.The holding purchases and stores grain in its own warehouses. Grain Division is responsible for this process. The company can also purchase and store grain for its clients. Bread Division comprises of, among others, OJSC Podolsky Khlebokombinat, one of the oldest enterprises in the Moscow region, established in 1926. It also includes OJSC Ryazankhleb, established in 1938. Since joining the holding, the latter company’s production was increased by four times. The Bread Division also includes OJSC Russian Bread, based in Kostroma and established in 1993 on the basis of Khlebozabod No.1., as well as OJSC Expokhleb from Moscow and OJSC Kasimovkhleb, located in Ryazan region. OJSC Ryazanzernoproduct from the Grain Division was established in 1934 and is responsible for the purchase and sale of grain. The Separate Division Ryazanzernoproduct, with the elevator’s capacity of 143 thousand tons and large storage capacity, is responsible for the harvest, storage and sale of grain.  OJSC Izobilnykhleboproduct includes two industrial sites with total capacity of grain storage amounting to 104.5 thousand tons. TD Podolsky Khleb LLC from the Sales Division was incorporated in 2002. It operates a chain of 40 retail stores in Podolsk and Podolsk district. TD Russian Bread LLC was established in 2007 as a separate legal entity that emerged from the structures of OJSC Russian Bread. Pekar LLC, founded in 2002 in Ryazan, comprises of 36 retail outlets, including 4 large markets and one supermarket Sudarushka, 45 outlets Trading House “Russian Bread.”
 
Production characteristics
Over the past 10 years the group of companies Grain Holding incorporated such bakeries, as OJSC Podolsky Khlebokombinat, OJSC Ryazankhleb, OJSC Russian Bread, and OJSC Expokhleb. Each of these companies, after joining the holding, has undergone a number of qualitative changes. In 2007, construction of a new, modern complex, expected to be the largest in Europe, was started at OJSC Podolsky Khlebokombinat. Currently, the bakery uses equipment of the following companies: Werner und Pfleiderer, Buhler, RONDO Burgdorf AG, Diosna, Mube, Hartman and Selectra. To complete the project of construction of a mill complex in 2000 the group of companies Grain Holding acquired OJSC Ryazanzernoproduct. In 2009 OJSC Ryazanzernoproduct started construction of a unique in Russia and one of the largest in Europe mill complex. Following this acquisition, reorganization of production and business processes took place at the holding. The group purchased the newest Swiss equipment, changed its technological processes, and attracted leading, including foreign, industry expertsIn February 2012 the first phase of the mill complex with the capacity of 600 tons of grain of graded milling wheat a day was launched. The mill is equipped with machines which are used to segregate grain, according to color, form and plumpness, able to analyze the products in the stream, taking into account its baking characteristics, environmental compliance and food safety. OJSC Ryazanzernoproduct is responsible for the harvest and storage of grain,  production of graded wheat flour and  medium rye flour as well as bran and buckwheat in different packages. The holding offers products in the following categories: rye-wheat products (“Russian” bread, “Borodinskiy” bread and “Prazhskiy” bread), products from the wheat flour (white bread, loan loafs: “Ryazanskiy”, “Sandwich”, “Osobyi” and “Stolichnyi”, bread “Gorchichnyi”, plait “Romashka” and pita “Caucasian”), flour (first class wheat flour, extra class wheat flour, rye flour), as well as variety of groats. The company also offers bio-products, based on the balanced combination of grain, rich in vitamins B, PP and E, as well as iron, folic acid and beta-carotene. Fibre, especially useful for the human body, which can be found in all crops, improves operation of digestive and vascular systems. Also bakery products containing bran can be classified as bio-products. Bran is made from the shells of grain and unsorted flour. Its main advantage is high content of dietary fibre, which improves microflora, contributes to the removal of cholesterol and lowers the level of sugar in blood. Bran has low nutritional value, it absorbs toxins, binds and removes from the human body nitrates and pesticides, and helps to detoxify the human’s body.

Export
Since 2006 OJSC Ryzanzernoproduct has sold its products to foreign markets. In 2012 export shipments of wheat fortified flour to neighboring countries: Armenia, Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan were completed. The share of export of flour produced by OJSC Ryazanzernoproduct, comparing with the total export of domestic flour in 2012, achieved 12 percent. The company is ready to expand the supply of products on the local as well as foreign markets. It plans to extend export to countries importing flour and grain: China, South Africa, Turkey and Egypt.

The company was also awarded silver medal in the regional tasting competition “The Best Product of Podmoskovye” in 2007 for its grain bun “Konola.” Most recently, the holding participated in the exhibition Modern Bakery 2012 that took place in Moscow.
