Due to the global impact of the Coronavirus pandemic, Germany’s ban on major events and the worldwide travel restrictions, CWIEME Berlin has been postponed, and CWIEME Americas will be cancelled for 2020.

London, UK, April 21, 2020 – Hyve, the organiser of the global CWIEME event series, announced changes to the scheduled CWIEME events in 2020. CWIEME is the world’s largest event series dedicated to coil winding, transformers, electric motors, generators and e-mobility.

The decision by the German government to postpone large events until 31st August 2020, means that CWIEME Berlin 2020, scheduled to take place from 30th June – 2nd July, has now been postponed. The organisers are working closely with the venue and their partners to find a solution for the Berlin event and will contact everyone involved once new dates for CWIEME Berlin have been agreed.

Hyve has also made the difficult decision to cancel CWIEME Americas for this year due to the
Covid-19 pandemic and the impact of the continuing travel restrictions.

CWIEME Shanghai will continue to take place as planned from 29th – 31st July 2020.

"CWIEME is an international event and these changes allow our global community to amend their plans," said Nick Davison, new CWIEME Portfolio Director. “We very much regret that we have to cancel CWIEME Americas for this year, but due to the current coronavirus situation and ongoing travel restrictions we had to make this decision to ensure the safety and health of our exhibitors, participants, and partners. This is an unprecedented and fast-developing situation and we are monitoring global developments closely. For CWIEME Berlin we are working on securing another date later this year and look forward to hosting a successful show once the situation improves and we can ensure a safe event for everybody in Berlin.”

More information will be available on the website in due course. During this crisis, CWIEME continues to provide market reports, expert interviews and other digital content to keep the global engineering community informed and connected.
