Gouda, the Netherlands - Imtech N.V. (IM-AE, technical services provider in and outside Europe) announces that it has received new orders in the German care market, to a total value of around 150 million euro. By offering various innovative technological solutions, Imtech is able to substantially improve the energy efficiency of hospitals and care centres. This strongly contributes to the further improvement of the care market in terms of both operational costs and sustainability.

René van der Bruggen, Imtech CEO: 'Technology is becoming increasingly important in the care market. Technology can help to cut operating costs, improve business processes and further professionalise maintenance activities. Technology can also help to increase energy efficiency and make the care market more sustainable. In addition, this market is increasingly demanding specific technology that complies with the most stringent hygiene and safety standards - for the air conditioning of operating rooms, for example. These new orders prove that as an expert technology partner, Imtech is able to effectively respond to this need.'

Wide range of new orders
Imtech will be providing the entire energy infrastructure for the new premises of the Rems-Murr Clinic in Winnenden (600 beds and 12 operating rooms). Among other things, this infrastructure includes an innovative thermal energy system for the heating and cooling of the building. To this end, 1,000 'energy piles' will be driven deep into the soil and connected to energy-efficient heat pumps. Imtech will also bear responsibility for the energy-efficient building automation and fire protection, as well as all electrical solutions.

In the new hospital Schwarzwald-Baar Klinikum in the Black Forest town of Villingen-Schwenningen, which feature a separates female and children's ward among other things, Imtech will be working on the building's sustainable HVAC technology (heating, ventilation and air conditioning), the fire protection and the innovative air conditioning process applications in its operating rooms.

In addition, Imtech is a technology partner in the renovation and partial new construction of Sana Kliniken in Düsseldorf and the renovation of the University Clinic of Schleswig-Holstein in Lübeck. Imtech is also active as an expert technology partner in for instance the Dominikus Hospital in Düsseldorf, the SRH Hospital in Oberndorf, and the Evangelical Amalie Sieveking Hospital in Hamburg-Volksdorf, KRH Klinikum Region Hannover and the Military ('Bundeswehr') Hospital in Ulm.
