2010 Subaru Forester X Columbia Special Edition Announced
SUBARU AUSTRALIA has announced a new special-edition model for the 2010 Forester line-up, which offers slightly improved equipment levels at a low price.
Priced at $33,990 driveaway, only 1050 Subaru Forester X Columbia’s will be available when sales commence on January 4. Released as a collaboration with sportswear company Columbia, the new Forester model features a number of additions designed to appeal to "weekend adventurers".
A set of 16-inch alloys replace the 16-inch steel wheels of the standard Forester X, while foglights, roof rack crossbars, a removable cargo tray and a bumper-protecting rear step panel are added to the Columbia edition.
The Forester’s 126kW 2.5-litre flat-four engine remains unchanged, and the Forester X Columbia is offered with either a five-speed manual or four-speed automatic driving all four wheels through a permanent all-wheel-drive system.
In addition to the added extras of the Columbia edition, the new Forester model also boasts ABS with EBD and brake assist, stability control, six airbags (front, side and curtain), air conditioning and power windows and mirrors as standard.
Being based on the base Forester X, the Columbia’s seats are trimmed in cloth and the stereo is a basic 4-speaker AM/FM CD tuner.
